Mortgage Payment Frequencies

Today we're going to talk about payment frequencies, how you can pay your mortgage payment.

You can pay your mortgage monthly, which is pretty standard biweekly, weekly or semi monthly. Semi monthly is twice a month on the first and the 15th. So you make 24 payments a year. Weekly is, as it sounds, once a week and biweekly is every 14 days, which you set the start date. Generally it's every second Friday to help people line up with their pay periods. The really cool thing though, with biweekly and weekly payments is that you can choose something called accelerated biweekly and weekly payments. This allows you to pay your mortgage off two years faster by just this really simple switch. If you have further questions, reach out. Our team is always here to help.
